Change of engine oil

Note:Filler cans and funnels must not contain any traces of other fuels.

• for diesel fuel with a sulphur content exceeding 0.5% by weight the oil change interval must be halved.

1. Engine oil selection according to MB sheet 228.5

The temperature limits for the SAE class should be regarded as a guideline that may be exceeded or dropped below for a short period of time.

• Select engine oil SAE classes in accordance with the ambient temperature (see diagram).

Engine oil change interval

• at least: once a year
  by number of hours: every 800 hours of engine operation

2. Engine oil change according to MB sheet 228.3

• at least: once a year
  by number of hours: every 600 hours of engine operation
