PistenBully 400 ParkPro W:

The new standard in professional park building

After its first season, the PistenBully 400 ParkPro is proving its value everywhere with its many new features and improvements – for example, in Cortina d'Ampezzo when building the run for the FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup 2023.

Building a boardercross course requires a wide range of abilities – know-how in planning, experience in laying out the run, intuition when fine-tuning the various sections. A lot of this is made easier by using the PistenBully 400 ParkPro, according to Patrick dell'Osta, slope manager of the FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup 2023 at Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy.

"The new PistenBully 400 ParkPro is truly equipped with everything you would like for preparing such a run. The old ParkPro had also introduced some features to make things easier, but the new ProBlade takes it up a notch: an even larger movement radius – this makes it even easier to adapt to the terrain and do the shaping." A very important element of this is backblading – with the OneTouchStraight function, the blade is straightened by angular sensors without restricting the freedom of the side wings to move backward. "The SideCutter cuts side walls that are absolutely straight. And the hydraulic transport tines are simply indispensable for transporting equipment around the park."

The ProFlexTiller is and remains a very important tool for park building: "Now this special tiller adapts even better to the surfaces and is noticeably more maneuverable overall – that is fundamental, especially for building the steep curves!" This can be attributed to the significantly increased flex angle and stepless hydraulic movement to positions, including a freeze function. The "Park" button is and remains state-of-the-art: It enables proportional lifting and lowering of the implement carrier. This particularly gentle and deliberate means of setting down the tiller is good for shapers because you can seamlessly transition to manual work without interruptions.

Get in and go!
Regarding the joystick: In the ParkPro, it offers even more options for personalization to suit the habits of the operator – for example, you can change the speed of the response characteristics and the button assignment. During training, PistenBully trainers are always particularly thorough when explaining how it works. And once they are familiar with it, the operators quickly recognize the significant advantages: "This option of very finely adjusting it to match your own preferences and work methods provides even greater accuracy, which in turn makes for the best possible work. We also see this, then, in the ideal result on the run!"

Helpful like no other: ParkPro with winch
Now for the first time, the ParkPro is also available with a winch – powerful and versatile for optimal work in the park. This is a combination that park professionals have been waiting for – and it ensures even greater perfection and creativity in the park. At the start of building, a good amount of snow was still on the ground. "In the past we pushed it away with the PistenBully 600. But now that the PistenBully 400 ParkPro is finally available also with a winch, it's of course fantastic – because now with this combination you can do some real pushing with just one vehicle!" The winch version also makes the process of building such a professional run even simpler, safer – and more efficient.

PistenBully 400 ParkPro at Snowboard Cross Cortina: passed the test!
The people in charge also recognized right away what the new PistenBully 400 ParkPro is made of: "From the initial planning phase onward, it was clear to me that with this vehicle there is once again going to be an increase in quality and options. The operators are quite taken by the new features. The process of building the run went absolutely smoothly, and the result was absolutely professional. That is what I expect and must require for such an event. The ParkPro is a highly impressive tool," affirms Denis Constantini, head of the FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup 2023.
