The Auburn Ski Club (ASC) Snowboard Team is a non-profit, 200-athlete program that ranges from beginners to Olympians. Based in Truckee, California, the team is designed to support athletes in all stages of the sport and serves both recreational riders and professional athletes. Athletes practice and compete in three different disciplines, Slopestyle, Halfpipe and Snowboardcross. PistenBully has provided funding specifically to the Snowboardcross athletes for the upcoming season.
Kässbohrer All Terrain Vehicles (KATV) has adopted a corporate strategy and philosophy over the last few years that is referred to as "BlueIQ." The goal is to practice giving back to the industry and community by committing to the environment, being economical and engaging socially. Included in KATV's social responsibility is promoting young talent and athletes in winter sports. ASC Snowboarding is a prime example of a program that works to introduce and retain athletes of all levels and abilities to the sport. The program and its director, Dylan Omlin, display a passion and commitment to youth development and advancement that fits perfectly into the KATV BlueIQ strategy.
Supporting the ASC Snowboard Team also made sense thanks to its proximity to the KATV North American headquarters in Reno, NV. The team trains at resorts local to Reno: Boreal, Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley, all PistenBully customers. This season, ASC athletes will compete in FIS World Cups, FIS Europa Cups, USSA Nor Ams, USSA Grand Prixs, USSA Rev Tours and USASA series competitions, local events and US Nationals. PistenBully is very excited to support the ASC Snowboard Team and can't wait to see what these athletes can do!
