August News & Happenings
Working motocross courses with PowerBully, soaking up the sun in Oregon, and an end-of-summer Fan Shop sale.

A Team Effort in Minnesota
For several years, we have supported Landon Taylor and the Spring Creek motocross team for their annual Spring Creek Nationals. This year, however, was a little different… We brought a friend! In addition, the PistenBully 400 that prepared the course, a PowerBully 12D helped to move dirt to prepare for the races. See the quick recap in this edit from Midwest Skiers.

Snowstorm? More like Sandstorm.
The Pacific Northwest team hosted their annual summer get-together on the beach in Oregon. It was a great night — the novelty of having PistenBullys on the beach, dirtbikes, campfires, and gorgeous stars. Some attendees even came from as far away as Killington!

Job Title: ProAcademy Trainer
What’s your favorite PistenBully model? A 600 Winch. The cabs are so quiet and comfortable for those long shifts, and they strike a great balance between being a powerful machine that’s capable of getting a lot of work done yet are also a very nimble machine.
Tell us about your career and how you ended up at PistenBully. I started this whole journey as a liftie at Kirkwood in 2004/05 because I wanted to snowboard. Then it has just snowballed from one thing to another (pun intended). I have worked for Doppelmayr building lifts, have worked in multiple departments at 6 different resorts across the West, and for the last 10 years have worked a “town job” while still moonlighting as a snowcat operator because I love skiing and operating.

This opportunity at PistenBully opened up, and I saw it as a chance to take my combined skills as a mechanic and operator and hopefully start to pass some of that on to the next group of people that have a passion for the ski industry.
What is something you look forward to in your first year at PistenBully? This first year at PistenBully, I am really looking forward to meeting with our various branches, dealers, and customers to help them achieve their goals. In the end, we all just want to lay down some perfect cord.
What do you like to do outside of work? Outside of work, I still really enjoy skiing as much as possible, mountain biking, paddleboarding, and spending time with my partner and our dogs.
