Kids Camp powered by PistenBully
The "Away from the PC and out into the snow" campaign that Kässbohrer has started to get youngsters involved in winter-sports activities is of equal importance to all stakeholders – ski resorts, skiing clubs and associations and outfitters are all dependent on adequate numbers of new snow-sports aficionados. That's why this initiative has met with such a high level of acceptance, becoming more and more firmly established as best practice.
Promoting young talent
Happy faces, red cheeks and no end of fun – the PistenBully Skicross Kids Camp 2024 was once again a highlight for around seventy youngsters keen on gaining professional advice from their sporting idols.
Intensive training units
The seventy kids spent a good four hours in small groups with their personal DSV trainer and were constantly on the move — with no chance of anyone slowing them down: warm-up program, viewing the slope, important tips for the course—that was just the tame beginning... Then they circulated through various training units: start training, individual course sections and, finally, the entire slope at racing speed.
DSV athletes as trainers
A highlight for the participants between the ages of twelve and sixteen was not only the professional course, but above all also their encounter with the trainers and athletes of the DSV team, who taught their "protégés" a few tricks.
Valuable tips, great fun and plenty of action
„It's wonderful to see how much fun the kids have on the ski-cross run!“ says the delighted DSV trainer Dennis vom Brocke. The parents were also thrilled: "This was a great day for our kids - they are still talking about how cool it was days after the event!"
All pulling together as a team
Again this year, everyone involved in the PistenBully Kids' Camps pulled together as a team to make the event so successful – a big thank-you to the Grasgehren ski paradise and all the DSV skiers and trainers for their tremendous support and assistance and all the information they provided so generously.
