With the KFX Fast Exchange system, operators can disconnect and reconnect the tiller in just 20 seconds – all at the push of a button, without leaving the cab. The advantage? 

Reduced machine weight, higher speed when pushing snow and savings of up to 20% in time and fuel. It also makes transport and storage easier by allowing operators to quickly lower the tiller when entering garages or maintenance facilities.

The AlpineFlexTiller SmartCut is based on our AlpineFlexTiller Comfort, which has proven itself in ski areas around the world. We’ve kept all the tried-and-tested features while still making fundamental improvements. For example, a new tiller tooth geometry and a new finisher comb ensure that ice and snow are broken up even more finely and compacted more effectively. 

Thanks to its optimized cutting tooth geometry, not only does the SmartCut Tillerb break down the tilled snow more effectively, but it also reduces torque spikes due to lower power consumption. The result: smoother operation, lower fuel consumption and improved grooming results at higher operating speeds.

Remanufacturing — the professional refurbishment of replacement components — helps conserve resources, reduce emissions and provide cost-effective, performance-tested solutions. Unlike used or aftermarket components, original remanufactured parts are systematically disassembled, inspected, repaired and tested to meet factory standards — backed by a full functional warranty.

Another important step in Kässbohrer’s sustainability efforts. The use of clean HVO fuel helps ski areas move toward greater climate neutrality while maintaining high operational performance.

Beginning with the 2022 model year, all PistenBully vehicles set out on their trek to the slopes of the world using HVO. This renewable fuel is produced from hydrogenated vegetable oils and waste-based raw materials and can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 90% per operating hour compared to conventional diesel fuel.
