Mountain Planet 2026:

Kässbohrer presents solutions for sustainable slope grooming

At Mountain Planet 2026, Kässbohrer will present its latest technologies and vehicle solutions for efficient, sustainable, and economical ski resort operations. In addition to various vehicle models, the focus will be on the new SmartCut generation of groomers, the KFX quick-change system, alternative drive concepts, SnowSat LiDAR, and the PB 600 Polar  W GreenTech for year-round use.

The “green line”: alternative drive systems for greater sustainability
With the fully electric PB 100 E and the diesel-hybrid PB 600 E+, Kässbohrer presents its consistently advanced “green line.” Both vehicles stand for low-emission slope preparation, reduced noise, and significantly lower energy consumption while maintaining high performance. These electrified drive concepts enable ski resorts to take an important step toward greater sustainability in slope operations.

Powerful performance for the most demanding requirements: PB 800 W
The PB 800 W, the high-end machine for the most demanding conditions, will be on display at the trade fair. With its combination of the most powerful engine, 5 wheel axles, longer chassis, and larger blade, the vehicle pushes significantly more snow in less time – even on critical slopes and with large amounts of snow.

Year-round solutions: PB 600 Polar W GreenTech
Of particular interest to operators is the PB 600 Polar W GreenTech, which was designed for versatile applications even outside the winter season. Now also equipped with a winch, the vehicle can be used with special attachments, for example, to mulch slope areas in order to create optimal conditions for the coming snow season. This underscores Kässbohrer's approach of making machines usable as year-round work platforms with high economic efficiency.

Technology focus: New SmartCut groomer generation and KFX quick-change system
In addition to its vehicles, Kässbohrer places particular emphasis on technical innovations in the field of slope grooming. The new SmartCut groomer generation stands for improved snow quality, optimized power transmission, and greater efficiency with reduced energy consumption. This is complemented by the unique KFX quick-change system: the convenient coupling and uncoupling of the groomer in 20 seconds from the cab saves up to 20% in time and fuel, reduces damage during approach and makes preparation in tight spaces easier.

SnowSat LiDAR: technology to experience
SnowSat LiDAR will be a special highlight at the trade fair stand. Visitors can experience the latest generation of snow depth measurement and terrain analysis live. What this world first in snow depth measurement can do: SnowSat LiDAR measures the snow depth up to 50 meters in front of and next to the vehicle. This allows drivers to detect areas with little snow from a distance and react early. The result: optimized snow distribution and thus considerable savings in energy, time, and resources in overall slope management.

“With our innovations, we demonstrate how modern technology combines sustainability, efficiency, and the highest quality of grooming,” explains Gilles Fournier, CEO of Kässbohrer's French subsidiary KESE. “Mountain Planet is the ideal platform for us to shape the future of alpine operations together with our customers.”
