Daniel Bohnacker
Daniel Bohnacker is one of Germany’s most successful ski crossers. After he competed in his first skicross races in 2008, he went on to enter his first World Cup just a year later at the age of 19. Two years later, aged just 21, he won the World Cup in the French resort of Alpe d'Huez. This victory was followed by numerous other championship wins, placings and medals. The PistenBully Biathlon Centre in Dornstadt (Baden-Württemberg) provides optimal training conditions all year round for the next generation of athletes. Thanks to eco-friendly snow guns, the facilities still have a snow covering into the spring, allowing the next generation of talented youngsters (both singly and in groups) to train all year round. Beginners and school classes are always welcome at the PistenBully Biathlon Centre as well. Either in the summer on skates and ski rollers or in the winter on skis – the children’s motor skills and coordination are developed in a relaxed and unforced way. The young biathletes are supported individually and introduced to competitive and top-level sport under the guidance of qualified trainers.
The PistenBully Biathlon Centre hosts regular events and projects at primary schools together with the firm Kässbohrer. Many ideas have already been put into practice in this way from regional competitions, such as the PistenBully Cup, to national championships. The PistenBully Primary School Cup will be held once again next year – already eagerly awaited by young and old alike.
