Located in the Sierra Nevada mountains a one hour drive from Reno, the Auburn Ski Club (ASC) is a non profit organization that concentrates specifically on recruiting and developing youth into winter sports.
Founded in 1928, the Club is the only training center in the United States that does all disciplines: alpine, nordic, snowboard, free ride and biathlon.
Auburn Ski Club actively reaches out to the large metropolitan population centers of Sacramento California and Reno Nevada. Over the past 20 years through their very popular school program called 1-2-3 SKI! Auburn Ski Club has introduced over 30,000 kids to skiing and winter sports. The Auburn Ski Club Training Center offers programs, junior ski teams and activities for the whole family. Entry level programs provide a wonderful introductory experience to winter sports. Skiers and snowboarders as young as age 6 and up to age 13 are welcome. The team focus is on quickly building skills, learning a little about racing and learning to enjoy the mountain playground. ASC's mission statement: Recruit, Retain, and Develop.
Kassbohrer All Terrain Vehicles, Inc. has been an active sponsor for the past three years. This year PistenBully is sponsoring the Auburn Ski Club Snowboard program. Auburn Ski Club owns a PistenBully 400 with an AFF tiller with triple tracksetter.
